Had a council bod over today from the Pest Control Dept. We've got a double garage at the end of the garden with a granny flat above, not used that often, but useful all the same.
Went upstairs a couple of days ago and the whole room was absolutely infested with wasps, some dead but also hundreds flying about. He has sprayed the roof space and the room, but have just been up there to hoover the little blighters up, and a few are still weedling around
Question is. I asked him about the nest, and he said it wouldn't be used in future, so no need to remove. Popped my head through the attic hatch and saw it. Massive. It's about a 2ft sphere. Should we get them back or is he correct?

It'll actually discourage other wasps from nesting if you leave it. Wasps avoid strange nests in case they get attacked; you can even buy fake nests for use as a repellent!

Cheers Eggman. We'll leave it then. Will they all die off do you think?
