Solar heating and hot water for washing machine
Discussion
Washing machine only has a cold feed. Solar tank is one meter away from washing machine. I cannot find any device on the web which allows thermostatic temperature control of water into a washing machine to reduce water heating costs. Only thing I can think of is a shower thermostatic valve, but this would then use hot water for the rinse as well. Has anyone done any better research than me?
You could also use this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bidet-shower-muslim-show... to set the hot water to the coolest wash i.e. 30 or 40 degrees, the machine heater then has less to do when doing hotter washes.
try on here - lots of discussion:

You'll have trouble registering with a webmail type address, but you'll be able to read it OK.
The above mentioned item also goes under the name of TMV or Thermostatic Mixing Valve. Although,as you say, you may need further controls to make it work.
