Soft close toilet seat hinges

Is it possible to buy replacement hinges to convert a normal seat into a soft close one?

The choice of seats with soft close hinges isn't that great, so I was wondering if I could convert one...

(PS Yep, a bloke who can't stand leaving bog seats up! And is too lazy to simply place the down "manually" ).

Not exactly.

I've been Googling and don't seem able to find anything that doesn't include the seat (I guess, for the price of them, I could just buy a seat and see if I can reuse the hinges).

I used to have a great instant success rate finding things with Google. But it's diminishing. I wonder if this is a modern form of dementia Or perhaps Google isn't what it was, or the stuff I'm trying to find is that bit more esoteric.

Our quite expensive soft close seat broke and I couldnt find any hinges anywhere - replacement or new.

Ended up buying a new seat in the end.
