Loft insulation questions

Do you just roll it out in the loft or is there more to it and would a couple of layers insulate more?

Normally you fill in between the joists and then again at 90 degrees to them. This covers the joists and makes the loft a bh to walk about in.

Don't insulate underneath a water cistern if you have one and don't cover spot lights, these need a 6" (?) uninsulated zone around them.

If you have eave ventilation, pull it back 300mm from there.

I nearly called it a cold water tank out of habbit, but cisterns been drilled into me.

Talking of plumbing chat, flue's are now called chimneys also.

I assume it's a cistern rather than a tank as it automatically empties and refills.

A tank can hold water at greater than atmospheric pressure.

The fuel tank on my car's not necessarily any greater than atmospheric!
