I sort of have no choice but to move out of my parents house, i didnt want to rent and ive bought a house and move in soon.

Im 23 and most of my friends are 25/26 and still live at home go on holidays etc and can spend as they like.

Im only going to have so much leisure money each month (£300) and im just a bit depressed thinking about the lack of holidays/nice cars etc i can have and having to grow up so quick. My friends keep saying how they couldent move out just yet but i have to really.

Its a small house so getting a roomate could be a problem with a lack of space to not be under each others noses.

Cheer me up bros lol.

Almost as stupid as this stupid fking thread. You have told us you're moving out, you've told us your mates haven't, you've told us you'll be skint. /thread

Yeah but if you rented think of all that "dead" money you're wasting. In a year or two while your mates are trying to get their first house, you'll be ahead of the game and ready to move into bigger and better places with a sizeable deposit - especially if the market improves.

Anyway, nice having your own gaff, no bugger to tell you how to live, parents, landlords can all get stuffed!

OP, i have very few regrets in life. Actually, that's not true. I have lots of them, but possibly my biggest is not doing what youre doing now. This will pay off for you massively in a few years and your mates will be kicking themselves.

Make your mortgage your number one priority above everything else and you'll be laughing, especially if you're doing this on your own.

Best of luck to you.

Get yourself a projector connect it up to your console of choice. Then get your mates round who will bring beer . Cook some food together and it is job done. Used to do this back in the day. Costs next to nothing and it's good fun.

Maybe you could get your mates to work on your house too.

Thanks bro, i just feel with me having to limit my social life is going to be something i will regret, but at the end of the day i dont really have a choice, i feel like im being punished being forced to move out but i mean i have a stable job etc, just not the best salary atm

I envy you doing this at your age. As for no flashy car and stuff, there's nothing stter than a flashy car, usually on credit outside the house of someone who lives with their parents.

If you can't get a better job, then why not get a second job?

Barwork, or waiting or portering or delivering or cleaning for instance. OK so they may be minimum wage jobs, but in your position any money is good money.
Besides, if you don't have a second job, you'll only sit at home burning gas and leccy, further eroding your disposable and making you even more depressed.

Im sure thats not what he means, he means this step in life is a big one, and it will give you the motivation to progress forward in your career, it will also show your boss (you having a morgage) that you are committed to your job and the company, it shows that your not just suddenly going to up sticks and go travelling etc, women also like men who are mature with their own car AND house.

Life and Work is all about perception, how others perceive you.

I think ive lost the ability to spell.

OP there is more to life than getting p*ssed every weekend. Your mates will probably be a bit jealous this summer when you invite them round for a BBQ ad they see you've got your own space and freedom.

Oh and make sure when they do come round for the aforementioned BBQ they help out with some painting/DIY etc first smile
