I've just been asked to insure a new bath tub made of smoked quartz Indian stone for £500k.

Said bath belongs to a certain daughter of a very short F1 supremo.....i'm sorry, £500k for a bath?!!!!!!!

Needless to say, my premium calcualtions are hefty!

Why the rolleyes?

I congratulate your client on being successful enough to buy that for his daughter and hope you enjoy the commission.

If the above is true regarding yourself, posting it on one of the most popular car forums around may not be spectacularly clever...

Scenario 1) He keeps the £500k in a Swiss bank/under his mattress.

Scenario 2) He pays someone for a bath. He pays someone to deliver it. He pays someone to insure it. He pays someone to plumb it in.

Which one do you think is better?

Exactly!

I'd rather see wealthy people enjoying and distributing the money than sitting on top of it doing bugger all!
And to be fair that bath is exquisite!

Why would that be? The value is well known as is the refurbishment being undertaken.

Well if I was a short formula one supreme and saw someone slagging off what I do with my money on the Internet the least I would do was take my business elsewhere.

Wow! You 2 have put 2+2 together and come up with 29!

1) I didn't slag anyone off
2) I havnt specified in any way exactly who I am dealing with or through what stage or ultimately on behalf of whom!

You don't work for the CPS do you?;)
