Do you wash your driveway?

My neighbour has spent half the day pressure washing his driveway. It was visibly a lighter shade in the areas he was washing, but now it's all done and uniformly clean, looks much the same as when it was uniformly grubby.

Is there any benefit to washing your drive? Or is my neighbour an OCD nutter?

I'd prefer a uniformly clean driveway rather than a grubby one. It shows everyone you take pride in your property and possessions.

I do, mine goes green n slimy if left which is quite slippy. Also known to quickly become a weed-fest.

My drive is stones, I don't wash them. I do move them about however.

Mine has quite a bit of moss on it. I'm not losing any sleep worrying about what the neighbours think.

Different if you're trying to sell the house I guess.

Have you tried washing a hundred yards of gravel?

I might spray some weedkiller over it but i certainly can't wash it

I tend to jetwash mine, and the parents. Purely due to trees, if you dont, with a concrete driveway, it becomes mossy, and bloody slippery! So pressure wash twice a year, looks nicer, and safer underfoot! No other reason than that
