Does anyone know of modern purpose built garages, that you can buy which have a floor installed and electric .

Don't know of any myself, is it an all singing all dancing log type garage your looking for or just a prefab concrete one.

Wood or metal then?

Get a concrete slab in and its built on top of that.

Certainly with Warwick garages you will need to get an electrician to do the electrics.

I think you'd need that whatever you did, if its free standing you'll need to run armoured cable to it and (probably) have an RCD in the garage ?

Even if its attached I'd guess most sparks would put it on a new ring ?

Hadn't realised the metal ones are so cheap, some are only a few hundred quid.

thanks guys, warwick would be an option, but is there a company that provides a sealed garage unit with floor already installed a bit like a container purpose built for cars.?

Can't say I've ever seen anything like that, I guess there is no point as it'd need a good solid base (i.e. a concrete slab or similar) for it to sit on anyway.
AFAIK they are bolted down in to the concrete to stop them blowing away.

I'm afraid I have one of theirs and it has been a nightmare from day one. Terrible experience and by no means cheap.

I've seen these in Ireland, try someone like H2 Engineering, they do look at bit mobile homey....

Thanks for the warning! I had been considering one, but I'm leaning more towards a brick built one now.

I think that transporting it to your house would be the biggest problem. How big a garage do you want and why do you have that requirement?

Since clicking on these links above I keep getting bombarded with garage adverts.

Anyway these looked good and not that expensive. No affiliation and never used them so they might be st smile

I've found some car/bike insurers risk wooden garages the same as no garage though.

They may be as close as you'll get but they appear to fail on this aspect:
