Neighbour tipping rubbish in my garden

Hi all
Thought I'd run this by the oracle seeing as the police, council, housing assc, env health aren't interested. Basically the neighbour at the back of us has thrown wood, guttering, gates , roofing stuff, pots etc etc into our garden. Now I've reported it I can't really throw it back over and it also looks like they may have moved out (curtains closed and no car there for the last 5 days) , a google of the house brings up nothing on it or its occupants, any thought on a next step? What's worse is that the other neighbour may have noticed this dumping haven so jumped on the bandwagon also, but hard to prove. Thanks for reading

I assume that the options are that either the property has been sold or a letting has come to an end and they have cleared the garden the easy way.
I would write a note and put it through the letterboxes of the houses at the end of your garden asking if they saw anything. Hopefully it will stop anyone still doing it from continuing to do so.
Having done that read the bonfire thread and then set fire to it!

Sounds about right - I thought it was supposed to be the responsibility of the person who originally owned the rubbish to make sure it was disposed of properly - e.g. a licensed waste contractor so it's bloody unfair for someone to not get involved. Maybe get in touch with the Environmental Services at your local council - probably get nowhere but you never know..."What about the bank statements and other letters to the same address that are among the waste?" asked my friend.

I got a phone call from a tenant one morning to say someone was dumping rubbish in the shared garden. She had got the reg number and phoned the police and they weren't remotely interested. Neither were the council as the land didn't belong to them.

Fly tipping must be a national pastime in the UK. I mean, it makes sense. Why take rubbish or that to the local tip when you can fire it into a local beauty spot? I saw a red armchair and black bag today 3 miles out of town. Cracks me up.
