Sorting out gas and elec. supplier in new home
Discussion
Evening all,
I've moved into a new place, the previous occupiers were supplied by e.on. They left a note of their final meter readings - which are significantly lower than the actual readings (there was no void time), however that's a separate issue.
We've told e.on we're the new occupiers (and the actual readings) and have been sent a small bill covering the move-in date to the date of their bill (7 days), logging onto the account shows it's now marked as closed, so I suppose I need to find a supplier.
Not having any previous bills for the property makes comparing difficult I suppose, so what's the best way to find a supplier without being bent over?
Thanks

I'd say the right forum. Why not just carry on with eon for a bit, someone will want paying for the electric you are using and I'll bet eon send out another bill to you soon. Was the account in your name when the small bill came.
Personally I changed to First Utility and surprisingly everything went smoothly despite them getting inundated with requests to move to them.
