Okay I'm happy to concede the 1st one I offered up last week is a weed and a fraud. I'm more confident with this one but which variety?

You do realise there are hundreds of different varieties of chillies? That's probably a little pointy one.

It looks like a green one but may turn red as it ripens.

When one turns red, pick it and chew on one of the seeds. If it blows your head off it's a hot one.

That's not a HOT one - if you want hot the best / worst are mostly small and wrinkled. 7 Pot Douglah are truely evil.

It looks like a "Peqiun variety" Very difficult to tell exactly what it is.

It's not a very hot one. I tried a small about 1.5cm long and red yesterday.
I put it with seeds into a spag bol, a little heat and quite pleasant.

It's not the seeds that make a chilli hot. Even cookery shows have them take out the seeds to make it milder. It does my head in......Sorry about the minor rant.

I have a 7 pot about to start producing its first chillies. Am looking forward to trying them.

the small fat bell ones are the evil fkers,

long pointy ones are fine.

i have a load growing at the moment, no idea what types but i use the above as guidance

I have a greenhouse full of all different kinds, all growing well
This has become a small hobby of mine.

Sadly I couldn't get my Bhut Jolokia seeds to germinate this year.

I've got Jalepeno, Hungarian Hot Wax and Ring of Fire chillies growing this year.

I've got a Chocolate Habanero and two Bhut Jolokias going at the moment.
Was given a tip on how to germinate the seeds more reliably.
Put the seeds in a small muslin bag..... where u get them i dont know lol but I was thinking an unused
empty tea bag would be just as good.
Then put these into water at about 48 deg C in a vacuum flask overnight and plant in the morning and
carry on as per other germination procedures.
Dunno if it works as found out too late to try.
