Are these the same set of screwdrivers?

Aldi are doing a set of VDE screwdrivers on offer tomorrow .
Do these look like the same set to you?

No unfortunately they aren't the same, and quality varies hugely between these types of screwdrivers. The Aldi ones would be perfectly suitable for DIY stuff though.

No they are not the same. I wouldn't bother with cheap screwdrivers. Nothing worse than damaging a screw head because of some poor quality, ill fitting screwdriver. Decent screwdrivers are cheap to buy, why bother buying tat.

I've always used the CK screwdrivers that are in the second link, but the wholesaler I use have now stopped stocking them. Apparently they where getting a lot back because the head was snapping off the pozi drivers, which is a shame. They now stock Wera, which I don't like, but only because of personal preference.

While I agree on the CK stuff and also pretty much only use CK myself I do think cheaper ones can be OK for DIY stuff.

I would like to maybe try the Were stuff though as I've heard good things about them. What don't you like about them compared to my favourite CK stuff? I've always thought the handles looked an odd shape but like the idea of the interchangeable handle system they do, my only concern being I have lost a screwdriver or 2 by putting them down somewhere, probably a loft and then forgetting about it.

The Wera screwdrivers certainly don't last as long as the CK ones, and I find the insulation on the shaft is easily damaged when you are sticking it somewhere you shouldn't be.

One set are Phillips, the other set are Pozi.

I've bought cheap sets from the German discounters, the tips snap very easily.

Quality screwdriver set should last you a lifetime and fit a screwhead better.

I use this companies and have been using mine profesionally for over 10 years and not one has worn or broken.
