Garage Leak - FUNGUS growing off ceiling

Hi guys

I've got a leak in my garage, and I'm going to have the roof fixed soon. However, I've managed to find these little guys attached to the roof;




They're absolutely disgusting, and I presume they're fungus of some sort, but does anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them??

That looks like a Portuguese Man of War jellyfish to me, the leak's worse than you think.

Yeah it's a pretty bad leak to have those odd things. I can't find anything similar anywhere I look on the Internet

I found something similar under a drivers seat of a very old, very neglected second hand car once. I assumed they were bogies that had been allowed to propagate.
