Running dish washer from garden hose
Discussion
Cut a long story short I want to test a dishwasher on the patio before installing it in my kitchen
It's the standard screw on fitting, I want to able to attach these to the end of my garden hose and then onto my dishwasher
Can some kind people in the know advise of the best way of doing it via links to screw fix or tool station
I hope this is the best I have a dishwasher in my garden ever

You will probably need a tap connector.fit that to some 15
mm pipe and fit that to the hose with a jubilee c!ip
Your local garden centre may be as fruitful as a hardware shop. Just think of the connection on the back of the dishwasher as an outside tap and find the correct size hose connector for it. The threads are standard.mm pipe and fit that to the hose with a jubilee c!ip
A Jubilee clip is a good safeguard as the hose will be at mains pressure when the dishwasher isn't drawing water.
Interesting "water feature" though!

I assume a 3/4 Hozelock tap connector would fit - the one on the picture has an insert for 1/2" or take the insert out for 3/4" : http://www.screwfix.com/p/hozelock-hose-fittings-s...As someone else suggested though, cutting an old washing machine / dishwasher hose would work if you have one kicking around. The join it the hose with a bit of pipe and 2 jubilee clips.
ETA: If you are going to buy these and it's a one-off use, then there's a cheapo set here for £2.99: http://www.screwfix.com/p/hose-fittings-set-4-piec...

I did this when I was testing my dishwasher for a leak.
Got the standard attachment to the dishwasher and cut the pipe in half. I then connected this to a garden hose using a small piece of metal tubing and a couple of jubilee clips.
I was an ideal way to test it as I could run with the covers off and also allowed me to look properly inside as I placed it on a table.
