Bloke moans about bins not being emptied yet chooses to store them in an enclosure.
Should he not be leaving them out for the bin men to empty and then put them back himself?

If it only takes an 8 year old a minute to move the bins then she could do it once a week to earn her pocket money.

Indeed. Also, this guy is scoffing at them saying it's "too difficult", when i the context of their job, it actually is. I leave my bin at the side of the road and the guys come past and can empty it in in perhaps 15-30 seconds.

If the bin is stored in an enclosure, then it might only take them another 30 seconds to extricate it and replace it after emptying, but when you multiply that by potentially hundreds of bins, it obviously does slow them down massively. Surely taking 30 seconds to move your own bin to save these guys taking an extra hour to do their entire round is the obvious thing to do, rather than throwing your toys out of the pram and claiming they aren't doing their job effectively.

If you're disabled or of limited mobility you can register to have your bins collected and returned with your local council.

you generally have to goto the main council house with your documentation to prove your need for this to go through though.

But i have no sympathy for this lazy resident

What an idiot. It is "curbside" collection, not "where ever you decide to leave them my good man" collection. As someone says above, imagine 100's of properties on a round with bins in different places - it would crucify their efficiency and increase costs.

I might ask Severn Trent to wipe my arse for me instead of taking away my toilet water.

On the other hand wheelie bins can be a complete PIA when the residents are obliged to leave them on pavements. people have gone to work and the bin stays out all day long, looks lovely.

[quote=shep1001]Our bin men won't empty the bin unless its kerbside. They also won't empty it if the lid isn't closed fully or you have placed the wrong type of waste in it. Don't think of leaving anything by the bin that is too big to fit it it either, that just gets ignored & left to blow all round the road.

Fairly simple set of rules to follow spelt out by the council but the mong tards near me still don't seem to understand them

If you don't take the bin off the kerb within 48 hours the bin police stick a note on the bin. Still there in another 72 hrs it may get carted away & you have to apply for a new one

The guy in the report is clearly a lazy, self important onanist.

That said, the commentary under the clip seems to suggest the binmen would collect from his bin cupboard if he put the bins on the other way round sp the handles pointed outwards. In which case, he is an arrogant, unhelpful, lazy, self important onanist.

The rules, whilst simple, sadly don't cater for the occasional irritating prick of a passerby who decides that my green (garden waste) wheelie bin is a great place to chuck the empty crisp and drink can that they are too fking lazy to take to a normal bin. I hope there is a special place in hell for such people, where for eternity they are made to pull non-garden waste out of green bins with their bare hands, whilst being constantly sprayed with a mist of bin juice.

Andy, from Caterham, Surrey, has lived in the same place for the last 11 years, and because his home is down a private drive, bin lorries drive down and are meant to help themselves to the refuse.
I get he's a bit lazy, and he could have them with the handles the right way, but when i lived at the top of a private road the council binmen were supposed to collect and return the bin to the bin store every time. As i would see them when i left for work i told them to just leave the bins inside the gate but a lot of the time they would be returned to the area they were normally stored in.

I reckon he has failed the attitude test with them at some point and now they are being difficult to prove a point.
