House we bought was painted in the last year but the seller left no left over paint cans to enable us to know what colour it is.
Ive started by buying tester pots of sandtex to try but so far no luck.

What course of action would you take?
(We have removed bits and have had a new door installed so just want to touch up)

Take your house to b&q. They should be able to mix you the colour required.

They'll only need a single wall, not the entire house.

Is the paint thick enough to chip a piece off? Or maybe chip a little bit of brick or mortar off?

You might be able to buy a paint scanner and get the code to take to a paint supplier.

Apparently Dulux do a free app that can scan colours.

You could also print a selection of colours until you find one that matches when held up to the house, and take that for colour matching at B&Q.

Although when I've used the colour matching service before I was less than impressed. It was 90% accurate but that wasn't good enough...
