How much of an increase is everyone seeing?

Have our bill and it's £100 extra for the year.

Parish council increase is 129%!

I live in Lincolnshire.

I live in Lincolnshire too. Makes me wonder what we actually get for our money. I’m down a shock absorber and a buckled BBS RC 336 already this year thanks to our mill pond smooth roads.

I live in Plymouth and it's gone from £1295.25 to £1355.41.

I've only just looked after seeing this topic, £60.16 isn't too bad really!

Where I live they charge 3.5% of assessed value per year. It gets quite expensive when you have a $500k house and they want $17.5k a year. In my case, the tax is much higher than the mortgage.

Most will have gone up by 5.99%

Anything more needs a government referendum.

We are band c.

I can't understand how the parish council have been allowed a 129% rise.

I see the main council (Lincs) have added around 3%, then they have tagged a 2% adult care tax on top.

I really can't see what we get for the extra money. The main excuse is further cuts in central government funding.

Would be interesting to see how much money my council waste. My local council lost a few million a few years ago on a property they developed. Spent millions developing it then sold it for a pittance. Bizarre.

10% increase for me. Bit rude when they say inflation is below 3%

So you get the chance to vote it down.

Mine went up the 5.99% i.e. max without the payers having a say. Seems a lot when all I get is the bin emptied and a free tarmac slalom course.

Bit that annoys is the social care bit as it is very likely to have been canned way before I might need some.

Another Lincolnshire dweller. They'd best fix some potholes. The A52 is a mess, particularly around the B1134 turn, and of course the A17. Still, got to pay all the contractor muppets taking months slowing the A17 around Sleaford down to 30mph for no bloody reason whilst they dump some concrete. Ridiculous, miles of 30mph with no work going on, it's all happening in a few yards.

Drove down the A52 from Swaton to Donington last Sunday evening. What an absolute mess that road is. It's always been a bad road, but it's the worst I have ever seen it now.

Also, a big increase for the PCC and Parish Council. No idea what the local bunch of busybodies need money for, and I wonder if my village will see a copper this year.

I guess the local authorities have cut their funding, because central government has done the same?

Glad I'm mid 30s and not just starting out in adult life

Hmm, maybe. I should pay more attention to this stuff to see if a trickle down effect is going on.
