Evening all.

This is a picture of the tap into which said boy has inserted the aforementioned 15mm toy up into and just around the bend!

Before I ram it in even further and am forced to declare it lost forever, does anyone have a brilliant idea regarding how I might retrieve the item!!

Take the shower hose off and poke it out from the other end? I suppose you’d need to take the tap/shower valve it to do this though.

Edit: or make a tool from straightened out coat hanger wire with a hook on the end to drag it out. What does the toy look like?

Edit 2: get the water flowing really fast through the shower then switch the valve to the tap position really quickly to shock it out?

I’d switch between hot and cold see if the difference makes it move

Other than that, if the tap still works I’d leave it

Get some "bent forceps" from any decent large pharmacist or Amazon, should cost about £2.50, you do not have to be a surgeon to buy them.

We use them to work on hard to reach electronics all the time.

You can get "bent nose pliers" as well but they cost more (for usable ones anyway).

Use your vacuum cleaner. Tape the hose on......obviously not with the water on!

Take off the shower top part - adjust the lever slightly and then you might be able to get a coathook through the valve from the top and poke Mr Gingerbread out.

Or heat but I'd be worried about the rubber seals on the inside of the valve.

Assuming plastic, drill a small pilot hole in it, then drive a screw into the toy from below, you can then use the screw to pull it out!
