New, 3 months old, Hoover Dynamic Next 9kg
Called the engineers out, who agreed the wash water was too low.
Said he would order a pressure switch.
Comes back next week, and fits a new pressure switch.
Water level exactly the same.
Says he will phone another engineer, rabbits on for 10 minutes, other engineer says it's quite normal.
Just live with it.

But the clothes are still going round and round dry for the first 3 - 4 minutes of the wash cycle.
Can see no water at all in the bottom of the door for washing cycle.

How can I move forward ?
Do I complain again?
Do I have a go at adjusting the pressure switch?

I like to see some water in the glass door when doing a wash, even half an inch would be fine !

Engineer says it is because I bought a AAA rated machine.

If I re-mounted the pressure switch an inch higher in the machine, would I get an inch more water ?

A lot of newer washing machines dont show a water level at the door glass, its all part of the 'Green' water/energy saving thing.

Are the clothes getting wet ? and actually washing ?

Actually, run a wash with nothing in, do you get any sort of level in the drum, mine gives about an inch in the drum, but doesnt reach the glass door.

Hi Gary,

The clothes turn around for about 5 mites, and some of them are still bone dry.

I am all for saving water, but I would like my clothes washing in sufficient water to at least wet them smile

Engineer did that when he came.
There was no more that half an inch in the bottom of the drum.
For my liking, that's not enough.
If I could raise the level to an inch that would be great.

Does your washing come out clean or not?

Maybe,
I would feel happier if it used more wash water

Well that isn't really the question is it? If it produces clean clothes it is doing the job it is meant to......... A bit like when cars use less fuel, TVs use less electricity etc, it may be your washing machine is now far more efficient and can use less water..?!?!

Does it do the multiple fills ?

Most fill a bit, then tumble then fill again etc to only use enough to wet all the clothes while having a minimum level

If the level switch is working at the right head pressure, then its going to the right level (simple physics) but its obviously not succeeding in wetting all the clothes before it decides its put enough water in.

Wonder if the sequencer isnt working properly (which would be odd) Certainly, during the fill sequence, all the clothes are meant to get wet, so that it uses the right amount of water.

The pressure switch usually has a screw in the centre. Stick a screwdriver in and turn the screw clockwise by a few mm.

Thats where the next call will be.

Its really just so low on water.

Just another inch in the drum would be great
