Calling on collective PH engineering know-how!

We have bay windows in our house which means four of the rooms have curtain rails which have two 90deg bends in them, coming back over a meter, with a total track length of about 6m so plenty of curtain to go round the bend and being big windows thermal/blackout linings are a must so will also be heavy.

Currently most of them have 30yo standard plastic track tortured round which given its failing with all the glider bits snapping and jamming is amazing it works a all, but it's doing my head in and whatever we replace it with I want to work really well. Some claim to be bendable, which is a start but obviously some will work and glide round better than others.

Ideally something fairly plain looking, white, doesn't need draw cords or anything.
Curtains all need replacing if only as they took any that where nice with them.

Just flexible plastic one, takes 90 degree radius bend quite easily

I've recently fitted an IKEA version for this. Two parts are wall mounted, the rest ceiling and two 90 degree bends. It works well.

I've just found it. Vidga is the one.

Your results will be slightly dependent on how good a fix you can get vertically into the ceiling of the bay.

Fair enough, maybe I am over thinking it and its just worn out and covered in building dust.

Will be fixed to the wall, likely onto a wooden batten.

Had to do this with 2 of our upstairs bedrooms, smaller than your windows though, about 3m length for each. The actual track was well fixed to the ceiling, but as you say the hooks/glider pieces were all brittle/broken.

As a stopgap we bought replacement hooks and gliders from amazon and they were a good fit. Not sure if we were lucky or if these things are a standard size. Think the tracks had been up since the 80's. We also put much heavier curtains on and its been fine since.

Funnily enough I have been looking for curtain poles myself this morning and came across these 2 by accident which could suit your situation (i'm sure you can get white/cheaper elsewhere) but thought I would mention them as I wasn't aware the "tech" had moved on that much.

Speak to a curtain making company. Silent Gliss make something called 1080 and that is a simple metal track, you then use a special plastic tool to bend into shape, that way, you get one piece for the whole bay.

The one I got was just from Amazon, 5m track came coiled up, feed it into the installed brackets and cut the end off. Easy and effective.

That's the sort of recommendation I am after.

"Standard radius recommended for optimal operation is 100mm. Minimum possible radius is 60mm."

That's also good information (as are the other suggestions) as the might work fine too. Basically I just want to be able to push/pull it open and close easily, where as at the moment its a two hand two stage process to push the first bit along, then push some round the corner, then push the first bit round, repeat both sides. Which would be find for a week on holiday, or even the sitting room which is often isnt moved, but every day in the main bedroom its getting wearing!

I've used this one for my bay window and it's really solid but also bendy:
