Bathroom Scales with good battery life

Any recommendations?

The ones we have seem to need a new coin cell every time we come to use them!

Thought about mechanical but not sure they're all that great having read some recent Amazon reviews.

I bought a set of the Xiaomi Mi Smart scales about 2 years ago. They take AA or AAA batteries and I don't think I've changed them more than once in that time.

Not really anything to get excited with but they look good and are very low profile. The only complaint I have is they only do Kg or Lbs not Stones handy having the sync with my phone and all the additional info is pretty interesting too.

I guess ones that have additional features like the body comp and app support, probably come with better power sources. And then if you don't use any of that crap, they should just last ages as a pair of scales.

If you lose weight the counter won't have to go up so high so will save on computing power.
Or get to a weight that has lots of 1s in it like 111kg, less leds to light up to show that.

Don't bother with the cheapo Lidl scales. Battery life fine but when you step on from cold you get one reading. Step off, let the display time out after 20 sec, step on again and it always reads 1.2kg lower Comparison with the mechanical scales in the gym suggests the lower reading is more accurate.

We bought some from Ikea years ago (glass top, neat sleek design). Still on the original battery I believe.
