DIY kitchens designer help
Discussion
Hi,
If you're having it fitted by a tradesmen/women, can they measure up and go through a plan with you? That's what I would do. They should be able to help you design the kitchen you want.
If you're fitting it, try; https://www.kitchenplanner.net/
Good luck with it all!

You can measure up yourself and have a play with their online planner. It's pretty easy to use.

I'm sure there are people here would be happy to critique your design.

Hi Folks
I’m in the position to buy a kitchen from DIY kitchens, does anybody know of a service where I could pay somebody to come and measure up and help a bit with design? Does a service like this exist?
I hope your experience of buying a kitchen from them is better than mine has been!I’m in the position to buy a kitchen from DIY kitchens, does anybody know of a service where I could pay somebody to come and measure up and help a bit with design? Does a service like this exist?
You should be able to find a local architectural designer/interior designer who will probably be able to help with design/measuring up.
Before you commit to order, if you haven’t already, then take a look at their reviews on trust pilot, at both end of the spectrum, and you can see what may happen if things don’t quite go to plan.

Just see the recent reviews on Trustpilot, I’m starting to have 2nd thoughts on ordering from them.
I've had two kitchens from them and not had any issues. Is it not the case only issues make it in to the review pages? I didn't have any issues but the quality of the kitchens seem good to me - especially when compared to similar priced ones.

Go to Howdens, get them to design it. Go to diykithchens, get a quote. Go back to Howdens, ask them for a price match. Give them diykithchens quote and they will beat it by 10%. Better kitchen, less money and easier.
Good luck.
I thought that Howdens only deal with Trade ?Good luck.
Go to the website https://www.peopleperhour.com/ and look for kitchen designers. There's a guy on there from Northern Ireland who can help you.
He's done some work for me and I'm pretty happy with what he has done.

I'm bound to say that if Howdens are better kitchens that those of DIY Kitchens it doesn't say a lot for the latter.Road2Ruin said:

Do you have true experience of this? Had somebody from Howdens around 2 weeks ago, still no sign of any plan or price despite spending 2hrs talking sh111te and drinking my coffee Good luck.

If they deliver you a kitchen without any defects or damage and no significant amount of missing bits then there’s absolutely no issue with their quality. They can make great products. However when things go wrong, from my experience and it seems from a fair few others recently, their ability to sort things out is somewhat wanting.I didn't have any issues but the quality of the kitchens seem good to me - especially when compared to similar priced ones.
I’m sure in the majority of cases, as shown by the positive reviews, things are fine, but there is a consistency within the poor reviews which shows a striking resemblance to what I’ve experienced - defective spraying, scratched & damaged items and missing items, a serious lack of quality control and an inability to put things right in a timely manner.
My kitchen was delivered in May and I haven’t been able to fit it and it eventually got to the point after a lot of patience that we rejected it after replacement doors, panels and other painted items had almost as many issues as what they originally delivered. I’m still waiting on my refund and for the kitchen to be taken away, which to the company’s credit they have eventually agreed to do. Will just have to put it down to experience.
Hopefully they have got over their spray line and quality issues plus the knock on effect to their customer service but if they have it comes too late for us as the damage had been done
