Ones off soon (the battery Bosch) for crimes against suction apparently.
Ones a carpet cleaner, ones a karcher floor cleaner and ones a lift away.
This is apparently the correct number of floor appliances

I'd love a fleet myself oneday biggrin

Seem about right.

We now have:

Karcher floor scrubber
Dyson V10 handheld
Shark steam mop

we used to have a carpet cleaner too but it packed up.

No, that is not normal. There is the glaring omission of the pre-war Electrolux cylinder vacuum cleaner.

I have a ‘maid’ who cleans my floors with a ‘broom’ and ‘mop’, although she does not suck.

Vacuum upstairs
Vacuum downstairs
Wet/dry vacuum/carpet cleaner in garage (technically my brothers but has been squatting here for years)
Vacuum in shed
Steam mop thing for tiled floors.
Killed Dyson last year and threw it

This may be too many, my only excuse is I used to work for electrolux and picked up a couple cheap.

Our fleet

Dyson rechargeable stick
Dyson upright
Dyson upright ball
Vax upright carpet cleaner
A cylinder (maybe Hitachi)
And a brace of 12v black and decker handhelds (for some reason that I can't fathom)

I can feel a cull coming.

Henry for garage/car duties
2 broken and one working Eufy robovac's for the downstairs hard floors
Shark plug in for upstairs carpets and a proper blast downstairs
Dyson cordless for quick downstairs clear ups

Crikey, I haven't thought about it until now, that's a lot of sucking, I'd have saves money getting a cleaner in!

We have a two plus two fleet.
Two conventionals:
Dyson cylinder for the single story house.
Metal bodied eBay special for the log burner and garage/ workshop tasks

For the wet room we have repurposed a Karcher window vac.
Finally for the hard floors - I don’t like these steamers or similar contraptions, no feeling in the steering or whether you’re so we chose the purity of purpose and endearing character of the mx5 of hard floor cleaning : a mop and bucket.

A Dyson upright something or other which I hate but O/H insisted was 'the best' - she's never used it sine day one...

A Vax carpet shampooer that's been used three times, also by me, and has been in a cupboard for the past decade as we have a local scrubber in who does the downstairs carpets and upholstery once a year.

A mop & bucket - guess who uses them for the bathroom floors...

Roomba for general use.
Battery Vax for the odd corner the Roomba can't manage
Dyson animal that now doesn't get used very often.

The apartment I'm currently renting has a house vacuum system, a couple of wall ports to connect the hose and then a really long hose to stretch round the rest of the flat. 4 apartments in the block and I can hear the wall ports hissing slightly when one of the other flats in vacuuming biggrin

Yeah, and a mop and bucket for the kitchen floor.

Ours is actually a Hetty, I feel a bit camp using it.
