Flooring for slightly uneven floor

I’m making a small home gym in my garage and the floor is a bit uneven in places.

Will a commercial gym flooring such as this reduce the impact of this, or will it just be a slightly uneven floor with a rubber coating? I was hoping with it being rubber type flooring that it’d help mitigate the bumps in the floor and provide a bit more of a stable base than the slightly uneven concrete.

Depends how uneven.

But the fact you're saying uneven rather than slightly pitted, or something like that makes me think it's still going to be uneven. That stuff is relatively flexible, it won't take much for it to conform to the surface you lay it on.

Sounds like you need to pour a screed first before laying anything on top.

The floor will need to be cleaned well first.

Ipperfections tens to grin right through sheet floor coverings.
