3 digit house numbers

Bit of a weird one, but go with me.

I've lived in 13 houses, lived in its classed as somewhere you stayed permanently and had no need to move out of unless you wanted to, so sofa surfing, temporary accommodation etc doesn't count.

None of them have had a 3 digit house number.

I've managed number 99, but never the 3 digits.

Can anyone top that for number of houses lived in without a 3 digit number?

There's a main road near me where the houses have 4 digit numbers.

I’ve lived in 4 houses, only 2 have had numbers and they were the same number in different streets, the other 2 just had names.

Do you mean as in 31, 130 etc? I'm on about a 3 digit number, so number 100 or over.

In fairness, to get a 3 in every house number is bizarre.

All numbers, no letters? I'm guessing that's an American thing, i can't imagine it would be UK.

Grew up in 327, but numbers (Flat) 8, 11, 20 and 71 since

Once viewed a house, it had been 2 houses at no 81, but a massive house had been demolished and 2 perfectly nice detached houses build on the plot. Was now 81a & the one we viewed, 81b. It was a nice house, £650K was the price and wasn't unreasonable for the area. But I wasn't having it. No way was I paying that kind of money for a b. Or an a. For £650K, I want a number with no fking letters!!!

A good riddle is a man walks into a hardware shop, points to an item and says the the shopkeeper "I'll have 3 please." Shopkeeper charges him £5. Next guy comes in, points to the same thing and asks for 25. He's charged £10. The next guy asks for 159 and is charged £15. What are they buying?

House number of 117. RAF housing estate where house numbers covered the whole estate not the individual (named) roads. Max. number was in the higher 300s.

Lived in a "3", a "71" and currently a "97", the wife used to live in a "113" though.

American numbers in the thousands have always been perplexing, it must be a bloody long road!

I have been in single digits for the last 35 years. We moved from No 9 to No 6 in the same close so took the number with us and just turned it upside down and gave them ours and they did the same.

My numbers, as i haven't put them, have been 2a, 7, 13, 31 (twice), 41, 44, 68 and 80 (same street), 83, 99, xx (that's an unknown but i know it was a low number as it was a small close).

On reading the above, it seems like i miscounted, and it's only 12. Still... That's a lot.

All 4 digits are numbers.

Since I moved out my parents (no.12) I've stayed at numbers 2, 3 and 4 (in order). 2 and 3 were in the same street.

Never lived anywhere higher than no. 55. Relatives live at 12xxx though, always have to look it up as I can never remember the last 3 digits!

I think that the american numbering system is based on a square block system, where consecutive blocks have a range of number allocated to it.

The roads in the US are generally set out on a grid system, so they are generally long and straight, hence the high house numbers possible.

I own a 1048 (in Tollcross Rd G32) and a 1319 (Gallowgate G31) and I sold a 1341 (Duke St G31)
