Who can build me a monolith?

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been monoliths popping up in places across the world, from Utah to the Isle of White.

These structures measure 4 to 5 meters tall, and made of stainless steel. I have a great location in mind, but limited funding for the project. Hopefully some folk on PH that can help with a couple of queries:

1) Where can I purchase stainless steel on the cheap
2) How do I build something light enough to carry to the location with just two people, but difficult to remove once constructed (I'm thinking of filling it with concrete / sand / water once in place, but transport will be tricky)
3) What is the best way to polish stainless steel? (detailing products / recommendations needed)
4) Any tips to avoid being spotted? (said location is about 2 miles from the nearest road, but my main concern is people spotting a great shiny monolith on the roofrack en route to the drop off point)

Has anyone on PH attempted anything similar? Tips / tricks appreciated.

But you've announced your intention, and we know roughly were you are from your profile. So if your scheme comes to anything, it will be traced straight back to this forum and you, and everybody will know it was a prank.

The monoliths so far have been intriguing because nobody knows who placed them. I'm pretty sure it's an elaborate marketing/publicity scheme for something daft like a new videogame, but they're only interesting because they're mysterious. At some point I'm sure we'll be reading an interview in Marketing Week with whoever thought up the scheme, and they'll be saying how difficult it was to maintain confidentiality, how important the air of mystery was, etc. You ain't got that now.

As much as I really don't want to be "that guy" I feel the need to point out that none of the things that have been publicised recently are actually "monoliths". They're just stainless steel installations (less mysterious, I know, but that's life).

By definition a monolith is made of stone.

1) it's a commodity and you have specific requirements which are unlikely to found surplus.
2)make it of thin sheet and hang the sheets on a frame like the IoW dude, plus he made it of mirrored perspex; making it difficult to remove is pretty hard without a lot of weight and/or power tools, a cordless hammer drill and some rawlbolts is probably the best option if there's some rock to put it on.
3)You can buy mirror polished SS sheet.
4)Do it at night and hire/borrow a van.

Given the number of copycats is this not rather lame, especially given the ACC monoliths were black and apparently solid(and on the moon/orbiting Jupiter/on Iapetus) rather than very obviously flimsy and manmade?

I think the OP is just trying to work out the logistics of the task for fun - not actually intending to carry out the act.
