Recently got a roller door fitted to my carport and ordered the smart door opener by Meross while browsing HUKD the other day spin

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PP62PB5/ref=cm_sw_r...

It's arrived and I'm not too sure how it's wired up or even if it's compatible with the controller.

Any ideas while I wait for Meross to get to me? I have a Eurodrive controller - wiring diagram below.

Looking forward to asking Google to open the door biggrin

Cheers!

I'd say incompatible.

Most garage door openers are a single button to open or close - and that unit is designed accordingly - it likely just makes a brief connection when activated & the door then moves to the other position, or if pressed in motion, the door stops.

Most roller shutters have separate up & down - and yours looks like that.

As above, it's designed for openers that have single push button. There's no open and close as such, it just does the opposite of what it was last asked to do.

There's an answer in the questions that mentions Eurodrive:
"By Amazon Customer on 19 November 2019 I bought one of these for my Eurodrive roller garage door. Unfortunately, my door opener requires a common and switch to activate the door up and the door down and this system has a two-wire connection.
I contacted the seller as it would not work so they sent me free of charge a spare remote to connect to the system to activate the door but this did not work either as mine using a rolling code system. So they kindly refunded me. Very impressed with the support and also the app."

Tempted myself (have a Chamberlain opener) but I think wifi would be iffy in my garage, so it could end up being annoying.

Is £25 a typo, or has the price changed already? I see it as £35.

Cheers all, you're correct.

Got a message back from Meross advising the same...they suggested a couple of workarounds but don't think I'm going to bother, will repackage to return unfortunately.

Got it on offer for £25 a couple weeks back.

I’ve been using the Meross on my garage door for several months and it has been really good. Got it linked into a NFC tag near the front door and set it up with Siri Shortcuts too. Mine was not the Apple HomeKit variant so that took a little bit of effort but nothing excessive.

I previously had the ewelink one and it randomly opened in the middle of the night!

Sorry that this just rubs the OP’s face in it!

Just sent the link to my friend who bought it immediately, his opener is a one button type, it shows as £29.74 to me btw.
