Simple test to differentiate between rubber and silicone

Sorry perverts, this is not the thread you were expecting

Long story short the cost of wiper blades was pissing me off, so I thought I’d have a go at taking the oem blades apart and replacing the rubber insert

I purchased some silicone inserts from eBay for pence and re did them


They feel like silicone, but how does one do a simple test to confirm if they are silicone or rubber

Try to glue it with rubber glue.

That won’t work on silicone.

Find someone with a rubber or silicone allergy (!)
