What paint for a Henry hoover

Have a toddler with a Henry hoover toy, would like to paint a name onto it for fun.

What sort of paint do I need to use, needs to be reasonably hard wearing

Yes, I did think about stickers, neat, but do to the bumpy dotty nature of the surface I fear a 2 year old will remove them.

Model paint is a good suggestion
