We removed an old fitted wardrobe a while back and this has left a few holes in the internall (solid) wall where the rawl plug and screws were. What is the best way to fill these for strength so we would be able to drill into the same point again in the future if needed. Basically when I fill them and paint the wall I won't necessarily know where the filled points were...

I think behind the plasterboard is a breeze block style construction. I did consider cement but I suspect that would be a lot hard than the actual block and so a terrible idea. Some sort of harder/stronger poly filla?

If it's plasterboard and breezeblock then any normal plaster consistency filler should do, so Polyfilla or whatever. It should be more or less the same hardness.

As long as it's well stuck/properly filled it should be similar to the rest once done.

Easyfill 60 is the best I've used while doing up my house but comes as a powder you have to mix yourself.

I used some Toupret External filler recently, it sets rock hard! It's a bugger to sand back so I'd leave it recessed from the face finish and finish off with a bog standard filler (Quick drying pollyfilla in a tube is decent stuff)

Gripfill dries as hard as cement.

I've always found that no matter how carefully I fill holes, you can always spot where they've been.

Fill the bulk of the hole with dowel or matchsticks, then fill over the top. Filler on its own will shrink enough to notice.

What are the chances of any future wardrobe having (immovable) mounting holes in exactly the same place? Zero I'd have thought.

Overfill the hole. Go over the area with a mouse sander when dry. Paint. Totally invisible.
