You revolting people!!
Would you wear a T shirt or boxers for a fortnight?!
Minimum every other day in the Clapham household, rising to daily if the weather is hot

Dude.
Ain't no one got time for that!
I aim for weekly, but it does fall to fortnightly quite often, sometimes longer... Don't know where I'd get chance to do them daily, with work clothes, non work clothes, underwear and drying space to think about. Bedsheets are a weekend job, but even then, weekend comes along I go out on my jollies, and forget about the bedsheets.
My flabber is officially ghasted - I can't quite believe how minging people are!
Even at university, I used to wash my bedding a couple of times a week.
One of the things I used to really, really hate about school was weekly bed changes and things becoming noticebly less fresh and more lived-in through the week.
You'll be telling me that you don't have your sheets/pillow cases/duvet covers ironed next...

If you showered every evening like most people do, then you wouldn't need to waste time and effort washing them that often.Even at university, I used to wash my bedding a couple of times a week.

You're welcome.

Wearing the same clothes argument isn't the same
Last time I checked I'm not wearing a mattress to work.
My wife and I shower in the evening / night (not together!!)
We sleep in a cool bedroom and usually have a fan on. We don't sweat so every 10-14 days is fine. Especially now we're old so don't get down to business and there's not any uhm messes to clean up.
The biggest issue is dog hair :-)

True. Clean bedding feels so nice. We change ours once per week, which I suspect is classed as ‘normal’.
k it........."clean bedding night" is one of life's pleasures. On the subject of washing bedding: Years ago, one of my friends had a girlfriend who worked away during the week, and being an utterly unscrupulous lothario, he would sometimes go out mid-week on student nights and bring home other girls to bang vigorously.
The next day he would wash the bedding in the washing machine, but use no washing powder/liquid, so that the bedding was washed, stain free, and didn’t smell of perfume, but also didn’t smell like it had just been washed, and therefore the girlfriend would be non the wiser when she returned home. Apparently him washing the bedding mid week would have raised questions.
I was really impressed by that level of detail.

I genuinely can't believe how prissy and unrealistic some people are. Even at university, I used to wash my bedding a couple of times a week.
