I am a nosey neighbour

Long story short a neighbour of ours has a pocket of land behind his house that is accessed via his drive

There have been some noises about someone claiming the land is there’s and they have rights over his drive blah blah etc

Over night a tent and beehive type thing has appeared on the land

Is this some legal step to prove something ?

During the interregnum have you asked your neighbour what the tent and the beehive are for?

No because they have been away since December and have no contact details

A beehive or a beehive type thing? How are we supposed to indulge in ill informed conjecture, idle speculation and offer blatantly incorrect advice if we don’t know what we’re dealing with?

None really, just curious if the placing of bees and a tent for x period means something legally

A bit like when allotments are out in odd places to change the category of the land for future plans

Old gypsy trick, definitely a precursor to setting up a huge traveller camp on the site.
