Shark corded vacuum cleaner?
Discussion
Thinking of buying a corded Shark upright vacuum, but needs to be good with pet hair, and have lift away feature for stairs.
The Shark NZ860UKT seems to fit the bill and it has a powered pet head attachment, but does anyone here use a Shark or can recommend an alternative corded upright that has decent suction?

We actually just bought this hoover a few weeks ago, and we own a really long haired maine coon, and this thing gets hair and dust out of our rugs very very well (almost too well compared to the last vax hoover, it makes us feel disgusting
)
The flip side is that with it set to max suction and carpet mode, it's not the easiest thing to push around! it's light enough etc just something to consider
Haven't actually tried the seperate detachable parts yet...

We have one I think it’s very average. Actually I think it’s worse.
As above, Mrs Dundarach insisted it would be better than the Henry, even with it's none beating brush. It isn't!
Henry is still (for me) the one to beat.
But it's okay, robust and easy to use, Henry comes in from the garage every now and against to get the job done!
Show cocker spaniel by the way, hairy!
I have one of the smaller Dysons, and that has quite powerful suction, sometimes a bit too much.
Not normally a fan, as I think they're overpriced, but I managed to pick one up for 99p on ebay as people seem to sell them as broken, when often they're just blocked or only need a quick fix.

Yep the missus insisted on the shark. I also think our Henry was better, shame she gave it away when we got the shark. It isn't!

I've got one of these, Shark NV620UKT I think it's great.

I've got an NV600 (similar to the 620) and I agree it's a good thing, much lighter to use than our old Dyson. It does have one small design fault which is slightly annoying: the extension hose isn't very stretchy and has a tendency to pull the whole machine over if you use it with the lift-away body still attached. The dust collector isn't huge but I can do our whole house without having to empty it. Other than that - highly recommended.
Not sure they're as good as the hype suggests.
They do fill up quickly, especially if you've got a dog.
The head likes to stop spinning at the slightest resistance too. It had been used less than 10 times before it needed the head dismantling for cleaning. Atleast that's easy to do.
It does seem to get up more dust and dirt than the equivalent Dyson.

We have one, also a small lightweight Gtech and a cylinder drag along Miele cat and dog. The Miele is much better. The Shark is heavy to use and the head is massive. The Miele despite being a cylinder is much more mobile.
Shark also doesn't have a retractable cord. The gimmicks and special design features the Shark have sound great on a website but actually perform bo better at all than a cylinder Miele.
