I'm on the hunt for a new bed/mattress and sofa. Budget wise is around £1,000 for the mattress. Bed would be around £600 and not sure about the sofa. Ideally under £1,000 however.

Bed wise I want king size but other than that I'm open to anything. Oh and no posts at the bottom so my feet can hang off the end easily.

Can I go wrong with DFS/Dreams etc? Due to circumstances I'll properly need to use their 0% interest deals so can't look at second hand.

I just ordered a new King Size bed and mattress from Dreams, was delivered in about 10 days!

They had a sale on with £100s off selected mattresses.

Can’t beat their service.

I went to Dreams in October time to get a new bed/mattress with the now ex. I'll properly go back as we then cancelled the £2,800 order as we broke up!

It will bust your mattress budget a bit but I can't recommend Harrison Spinks enough. We bought through Dreams and it's the best mattress I've ever slept on my a country mile.

Closely followed by a Millbrook bed which are sold through Somerset Beds (I think theyre often next to Dreams on trading estates) which was a bit cheaper. Both pocket sprung.

We love our Emma mattress, best night's sleep I've ever had. We loved it so much we even bought another one for the inlaw's spare bedroom. Mate of mine had a bad back for years, now he's got an Emma, pain has gone away. Some people say they feel hot on a Memory foam mattress, but i run prettywarm and had no issues. 100 day money back gaurantee too, so if you don't like it....

Get down to the shop and lie in as many as you can within budget for as long as possible to try them. Mattresses are so user specific it's hard to recommend other than buy the best you can afford as you will spend 1/3rd of your life on it.

I tried a Tempur in dreams recently and thought it was amazing.
Following Internet logic of cheaper memory foam mattresses being as good, I ordered an emma to try out. It's OK, but it's not like a Tempur...
Tempur now on order, didn't use dreams as they were about £500 more than online suppliers.
