Smoke alarm removal for battery

Anybody have any idea how to get these off to change the battery? They don’t seem to rotate and there seems to be a hinge. Photos attached. Any help would be grateful!

Middle photo, top right, there's a little arrow by a slot?
A small screwdriver in the slot should release a catch, then the alarm slides off the base IIRC.
