I need to buy a handful of little bracket things that look something like this:

But made out of plastic, not metal and half inch in diameter.

I am really struggling to think of how to search for this type of thing. Any ideas on what it would be called?!

Id call it a pad eye, you can get similar in stainless steel from a boat/yacht chandlery.

I'd suggest it's a "lifting eye plate"

For any particular use? The pad eye plates are normally for securing/hanging, so the majority for sale will be metal.

Don't know what the purpose is, but half inch diameter, plastic, is anything of the sort confirmed to exist? Contemplate using cable or pipe clips instead if feasible. The former come in absolutely all sizes down to tiny.

Nope!!!!

The exact size isn't important - I could make it work with a larger one. I think I may be able to make a pad-eye work, although I wanted to affix using glue not a screw/bolt.

Essentially, my ideal would be a loop with a base that can be glued to a flat, clean surface.

plastic is the wrong material if you want to bond it to a flat surface. Most plastics are poor for bonding.
Would be easier if we knew the exact application. have you considered a D handled suction cup or high bond double sided tape?

The Moose, I know its not exactly what you described, but would these do the job?

Plastic Axle Bracket

Failing that, if you bought a length of T-section plastic extrusion, you could cut it off to the length you want and drill what ever size hole you want in it.

This company do a 20mm x 15mm x 1.5mm thick T extrusion.

T-Section Extrusions

More T-Section Extrusions

Depending on the load you are expecting to apply and the surface area of the bonding face, the better quality double-sided foam tapes work well, such as 3M™ VHB™ Tape 5925P
