No, not a new car, but I finally got two parking spaces next to each other in the same underground parking garage. partypartypartyparty
And one even has a electricity socket where I can plug in a tickle charger, which is very unusual around here. And the parking space is rather wide as well bounce

I'm over the moon since I have wanted this for ages!! I had three spaces in the same garage before and the one the Porsche is on I had for a couple years already, but the one I had before for the RRC was rather narrow. Parking was troublesome and getting in and out was a right faff.

I do realize for those lucky ones who have their own double garage (or even more) this isn't big news, but it is to me. Here in the city center of Basel, Switzerland parking spaces are rare and expensive. Parking is the single most expensive factor keeping my modest car collection going. frown

Great news; however, tell me more about the Tickle Charger, I could do with one this morning.

I've got one or rather two singles but the car sits outside. The garages are full of other important stuff.

I've got a garage in a whole bank of them near my flat. No one parks their cars in them hehe

All full of tat. Mine is too but I did a big tidy up the other day in the hope of sticking my Abarth in there when I'm away.

Unfortunately despite being tiny it won't fit with my Bonneville in there, and the bike has to be garaged for insurance purposes.

Made me realise that most 'normal' sized cars these days wouldn't fit in the garages anyway.

So I dream of extra wide double garages smile

I can see why you’d be over the moon, getting two alongside certainly puts you in a better position of control and flexibility, and the power point is just the icing on the cake.

That is the dream. I live in a terraced house where there's private parking, and I have 2 spaces next to one another. It does the job, but it's not quite the same as having a double garage.

One day the dream is a double garage, but then that dream also escalates to "What can I get now I have a garage". I think that even with a double garage I would soon have enough toys that I'll still have a car or so on the driveway and be wishing for a triple garage.

Congratulations OP. thumbup

After 11 years with no garage I moved in 2022 to a house with a slightly larger than standard garage and electricity, but it's still full of tat. I really need to have a clear out!

One keeps 'treasure' in garages, to 'er indoors it's just old rubbish, but just where does one keep that 'may be needed' tool or component that is as rare as hens teeth or even rocking horse poo?

I just dream of a garage at the moment…or even my own parking space!

When we had a house in Switzerland I managed to buy three car parking spaces next to each other in our underground car park. There was direct access from the garage spaces up into the house (cellar), it was heaven!

I count myself lucky I have a garage and a driveway for 1 car. I'm dreaming of a driveway big enough for 3 cars, and a double garage, but we'll see!

Congrats on your score there OP!

We are in transition , sold a house with double garage and drive space for 3 cars(!) and moved in with son while we buy something bigger.
He has 2 parking spaces and the chance of a “visitor” space - he’ll!

In a month or so we will be back to double garage and loads of off road parking

I have a double garage and I've got 2 cars in it. There isn't anything more important than cars for me! For example...I even told my ex wife that I preferred cars more to her!(that was probably why she left me though). hehe

Whenever I lived in a house with a garage, I've always put a car in it, however I can appreciate why some folk just fill them with crap though.

Great photo. I don't think of Range Rovers as large cars but your modern 911 looks dinky beside it.
