Uneven patio shed base

Hi all


I'm looking to build a 8x8 plastic shed on an uneven patio.

For the base, I'm wondering if I could I get away with a treated timber wooden frame filled with pea gravel? Any ideas of this sounds reasonable?

I learned the hard way that you need to put as much effort into getting the base right as you do building the shed itself.

I was given a free shed and cheaped out on making do with a plastic base. I then found that trying to assemble the shed became a nightmare as none of the panels lined up properly.

In the end the shed was never right, and it didn’t last as long as it should have had I done the base properly.

Ah so proper ply 18mm with 4x2 1 foot apart?

I think it's your uneven patio thats the issue, can you lift the part below the shed area and level that?

I used to deliver and erect sheds, you really need an absolutely flat level base, not necessarily concrete or slabs.

It's not clear whether your shed has a floor with it? Sounds as if you need to make one? Either way,when you have a floor, lift the slabs, dig out 4 inches or so, weed membrane, couple of inches of crusher run or a locking grave (rather than pea) l well tamped, or whacked if you can, then 8no 75 x 75mm skids runnig at right angels to the direction of the joists. fill in any margins between shed and remaining flags with your gravel. Yuor shed will be slightly raised and you'll get airflow underneath.
