Make light switch permanent live (not switchable)
Discussion
Hello all
Is a wago and a blanking plate acceptable, for example?
- am a long suffering dad
- I have a coat and shoe cupboard at home
- Kids stand in it, in the dark and moan ‘daaaaad I can’t see my shoes’

- I fitted a PiR LED ceiling fitting - works lovely
- now one of the two little f
kers (or the big one I’m married to) in my life can’t shake its muscle memory and keeps switching the bloody switch off!! All are denying it

If the bulb pops it would be better to have a way of turning off the power locally to change it.
Unswitched fcu, or key operated emergency lighting switch?
Here's the light I fitted - won't be changing a bulb anytime soon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BKKX6TTT/ref...Unswitched fcu, or key operated emergency lighting switch?
Buuuut, unswitched FCU - thanks, that's the answer! Then if I need to isolate it for any reason I can just pop the fuse?
Another option would be to swop the light switch for one that is a security light switch - so needs a "key" to turn off and on -
