Do I need Lime Render?
Discussion
Probably age old question, but like many I am struggling to get a decent answer.
I have blown S&C render due to the DPC being bridged by the render. It's also not been done too well and the wrong mix has been used. The wall underneath is solid brick. The rest of the house is cavity wall extensions.
I have been advised that I need lime render on that part of the building and that nothing modern will do / or last.
The quote I have had is double S&C and 25% more than silicone, but the builder said it is the besting thing for the house.
Anyone been through the same thing?
