Drain gully from kitchen replacement
Discussion
Just want a bit of advice if I may.
The outside drain gully from the kitchen was blocked the other day. There was gurgling & slow drainage from the kitchen sink & after investigating I noticed the outside gully was overflowing.
I managed to unblock it (was full of white fat, food bits & hair) & all flows well now
While clearing it I noticed that the clay gully is cracked what seems all the way around (a hairline crack about 4" down). It joins a clay pipe that runs to a manhole about 3ft away & it's all under concrete, just outside the back door

Is it a case of using a grinder to tidily grind the concrete & a sds to chisel & excavate the gully away, & replace with a plastic bottle trap/gully from Screwfix or toolstation? Hopefully the gully & pipe section to the manhole aren't fully encased in concrete?
How much of the existing clay pipe to manhole would I need to expose so I can use an adapter collar?
I think ill need a a short section of plastic pipe from the gully too?
Could I install the new gully so that the upper grid level is just a bit higher than currently (so I'd need a smaller concrete bevel when finished) or is it best to maintain the same install level?
