Hi All,

I'm looking for a belt for the hoover brush on my Neato XV.

The manufacturer (Neato) does not supply anymore.

I bought one on eBay and it didn't fit. I've found this on Amazon, but it's £10 which seems nuts
https://amzn.eu/d/67gIxKX

I've read that apparently the belt is Kevlar reinforced, not sure how true that is.

Any shop suggestions. Ideally I'd like to do it in person, so I can check.

Thanks

Have a VERY close look at the existing belt, it's almost certainly a standard size and profile, and you might find a useful reference number on it.

Failing that, some careful measuring will probably get you there.

A seller like this may have what you want, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403415652675

Thanks.

Trust my luck, the code says

"156-3M"

Nothing else on it. Seems like it is only part of a code. But nothing seems worn off.

156 is the length,
You need to measure for the width I think

I'd pay the £8

I can't imagine any shop would sell Neato parts, unless it's a standard sizes belt off something else..

A shame Neato stopped making kit as their LIDAR was great.

It's

4mm wide
52 teeth

Any chance that can get me a definite belt?

Read the notes on this page (I know it's a US site, but good info)

https://www.vbeltguys.com/products/156-3m-04-synch...

You need to check the tooth pitch and profile, but looks promising. 4mm width is not especially common, but someone will have them.

Edit - Chinese seller, sub £2?

Legend!

Ordered from the eBay seller. Let's hope the postage arrives sooner than advertised!

How on earth are we in the scenario where something like this needs to be posted from China?

When it shows up, let us know if it actually fits. thumbup

Hopefully you bought a few so you can sell them at a tenner each? biggrin Things like drivebelts are almost always an off-the-shelf part, it's just finding the spec. I've had to do the same with mower belts before - £75+ each for the manufacturer part, £10 each for a Dunlop-manufactured part to the exact same spec.

Because we keep wanting things cheaper and electing governments that have smashed the manufacturing industry’s in our country

It's a toothed belt, so £10 doesn't seem bad?
