Been quoted £240+VAT to grind to 300mm a pretty big tree stump and roots.......no idea what something like that should cost......to me it doesn't seem absurd? Any reason to steer clear of that price?
I thought you were going say the quote was £1500.00, you’re not paying that and your going to remove it yourself, resulting in a 15 page thread with the combined knowledge of PH telling you how best to do it, involving but not limited to, fire, block and tackle, fire, engine hoists, fire, some obscure banned chemical off eBay, fire, asking the guy who moved the huge boulder and lastly fire.

I mean, that would be more fun than what seems to be a fairly simple "that's a good price, lock it in"
The only reason not to go with that is if there’s a local hire place that will delver and collect a decent size stump grinder for £100. You’d do it in an hour with a decent machine.
