Holes in Grass Garden
Discussion
Little bit of advice, my dogs decided that digging in the garden was fun last year. There's only about 5 and they're not massive holes but some are as deep as a small football so I need to sort them before the good weather comes around and kids want to play.
Do I fill them with soil and grass seed, I've seen people using sand as a leveller for small dips - should I fill them with sand instead? Is there a specific seed or is any grass seed ok?
Thanks all.

A bag or two of topsoil from your local DIY or garden centre.
One packet of general purpose grass seed.
Mix completely in a wheelbarrow or bucket. Fill the holes and tread down lightly. Water gently. Job done.
(Mixing the soil and seed thoroughly is much better than sprinkling seed on the top, where it's just a free lunch for your local bird population.)

Maybe sprinkle a touch of gravy powder in with the seed to help it grow.
He wants to mow it not eat it
Interesting to see that in these days of paving everything and hard landscaping, a lawn is now called a 'grass garden'!
