Could it be rubber? I saw a place on TV that makes rubber extrusions to any profile.

Can you post what its original intended use was?

Its a filler piece out of a glass balustrade.

The blue circle.

I have removed some glass to allow for access, so we have a gap in the post which looks messy.

If I can source some profile like this it will slot in and fill the hole and then I can put the cap back on.

I could just buy 2 end posts - but its £100+ for the 2 posts and then I will have 2 posts just sitting around.

So if I can devise some way to obtain that profile it will just slot straight in.

The other thing I was thinking was to possibly cut some perspex to size and put some LEDs behind it.

Go to a glazing firm , not a double glazing company or the like but an old school bits of glass company.
They should have a book of profiles , the one local to me has .

Cheers tried both of those no reply, so prob too small for them.

Tried a local glazing place, they suggested another place which I will try in the week.

After that I think I will just get some perspex.

Could it be 3D Printed? They can use some pretty sturdy materials now and would be able to scan it in to create the file.

Probably in sections yes - the complex shapes would be an issue as they would need supports during printing I expect but could probably just make something that clips in rather than exact profile.
