Hi all

I was just about to fit a Water2 filter under my kitchen sink, but have just noticed this reservoir connected on a T piece.

What is it? And where do I put the braided hose I got with the Water2 filter?

Or do I just get a plumber round….

Additionally, the taps in my kitchen don’t have the steel braided ‘tails’, instead they have these plastic fittings and plastic pipes. So I’m not sure how to fit the filter supplied pipes.

Thank you

Aaron

It looks like you have a washing machine or maybe dish washer connected via the plastic expansion,
You don’t really want to put the filter before that T junction otherwise you will be filtering water for the washing machine …not the end of the earth but why would you.

Anyway, looking at the 2nd picture you need to fit the filter between the push on tap fitting and the copper pipe but that’s really tight.
I don’t always suggest a plumber but in this case get someone to come in and tidy it up so you can fit the filter…you need good access to replace the filter at least once a year which means it needs to be solid and leak free from day one.

Nice fitting of the socket outlet in the first pic.
