For some reason my artificial lawn, which occasionally has the odd weed, is getting weeds all over the place this spring despite being regularly covered with weedkiller.

Is there any particular weedkiller recommended for these situations?

Otherwise Prefect Towers will turn into this

thereby defeating the purpose of artificial grass.

Stand by for the PH artificial grass hate ! laugh

I had always assumed you couldn't use weedkiller or artificial grass, although I don't see why not I guess. Ours has got quite a substantial membrane under it, so we only really get weeds around the edge, or the occasional one in the "grass" itself that I was told was more likely from a seed blown by the wind or dropped by a bird. I Normally I just pull them slowly up so as I get them with the roots as well. Boiling water apparently works, but I`d be interested to know if a decent suitable weedkiller is available.

Since it’s artificial grass you don’t need to worry about killing the grass! smile

So I’d just mix up some glyphosate in a pressure sprayer and spray the whole lot. Be patient, though - glyphosate takes at least 10 days, and sometimes several weeks.

Thanks. Brute force seems to be the way to go. The weedkiller I'm using kills the weeds I can see but doesn't stop more weeds coming through.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, can you clarify whether they’re real or artificial weeds?

I thought he wanted artificial weedkiller...

Sounds like whoever laid the rug didn't put the right sort of thing underneath.

Still, at least you don't have to mow it.
