DIY glyphosate gel?
Discussion
I spent this afternoon trying to deal with a load of dock weeds growing amongst the “proper” plants in one of the beds in the back garden at Oxgreen Towers.
At first I was using the commercially available glyphosate gel that comes in an applicator thingy with a button at the bottom and it oozes out of holes at the top. I found it tedious to use, and soon gave up and started digging the b
ds out with a trowel. Trouble is, I know I’ve left sections of tap root behind so I’ll be doing this again soon.
I found myself wondering if it would be possible to make your own glyphosate gel, and apply it with a paint brush. It would be a helluva lot cheaper, and I suspect easier to use.
Has anyone done this?
My first thought is wallpaper paste laced with glyphosate. What do you reckon?
