Grout - replace or grout pen revival
Discussion
We're sprucing up a flat at the moment to prepare it for sale. It's been let out for 15 years and quite tired in a few areas. On the to-do list is to sort out the grout on the bathroom wall tiles and kitchen and wall and floor tiles. Lots of ingrained muck and discolouration. What's the best quick and effective fix for this? Grind out old grout and fill with new or are grout pen type products worth a go? I don't especially like cutting corners even though we'll be selling up but in this case I think any perspective buyer will almost certainly end up replacing the kitchen and bathroom anyway so I'm a bit more open minded on the approach to this. Just needs to look presentable.
HG grout cleaner and a stiff brush.
Your selling up.
The new owners only going to rip the bathroom out as its not to their taste anyway.

I've tried various grout cleaners and a grout pen, the results weren't that good. I've found that Grout Magic does a better rejuvenating job.
Thanks all. We tried the HG cleaner yesterday. It did a great job in the bathroom. Really impressed. Kitchen walls, is proving more of a challenge. I think they're nicotine stained and really stubborn. We might end up grinding a lot of that out. Grout on the floor tiles in the kitchen is a mixed bag. A lot cleaned up well but a lot of it is cracking up so we might end up replacing that grout as well. But the cleaner was well worth it for the bathroom alone. Much appreciated.
If you think it might need replacing, it probably does. Or you'll always look at it and wish you had.
This was very effective at general refreshing grout. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006PE0DO8?ref_=ppx_hz...

The Cif bathroom scaler remover was very good too.

To be honest I'm hoping I'll never see it again in a few weeks time! But they sound like good options, cheers. This was very effective at general refreshing grout. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006PE0DO8?ref_=ppx_hz...
