Considering using these instead of timber and as a lighter weight version of concrete post. Any comments?

Fence is on a hill so I like I can build each panel as a custom fit with 3x2 rails…

This stuff?

If so, yes thumbup

Was easy, cost efficient, time efficient and has worked well thus far 👍

Benefits being you can trim each post very easily with an angle grinder and get the perfect heights

Yes that’s the stuff!

Seems a lot easier than concrete, and price is about equivalent. I shall crack on then!!

Installed a 40 metre run down one side of the back garden a couple of years ago. Went for from memory a 9 ft posts in grey. Have the composite grey gravel board at the bottom Then a slide in panel. This was done so we could make the fence the highest we could within planning rules. I also put the post caps on.

Very impressed with the system and it will be my go to in future. Very easy to install and zero issues.

As others have mentioned, really good for putting in yourself.

They are so light and easy to move about compared to even timber posts.

I didn't use any of the systems components, just the posts but will be using them again for all my other fences as they get replaced.

Also like someone else mentioned, you can confidently just stick in over height posts, then cut the top off to make them all level after everything is finished.

Yep, just completed a 20M run a few weeks ago, I only used the posts though and just ran 3x2 between the spans with vertical feather edge all the way down.

Feels pretty robust and much easier to work with than concrete, would use again no problems.

Yes we had our back fence done with Durapost at the recommendation of our landscaper. They look great, much easier to fit and were cheaper than their concrete alternatives.

Thanks folks - chucked in a couple of them this weekend - they are much easier to use than concrete.

Now just need to decide whether to replace all the posts on the rest of the fence with duraposg or not. Currently it’s a rather weird closeboard post and rail setup where they have used concrete post savers attached to a 100mm x 100mm post - so no wood in the ground… and never have been. Not quite sure why this has been done. So can just unbolt the post savers and fit new posts which is cheaper and I don’t need to dig holes (which isn’t a fun job!) even tho I’d quite like the “look” of durapost!)
